Bush, who passed away last Friday evening.  Throughout his long life, he believed in the importance of public service to our country. During World War II, he flew missions as the Navy’s youngest pilot.  After years in the business world, he chose to serve is country once again. Before becoming president, he was a congressman, U.N. Ambassador, CIA director and vice president.  He devoted his later years to encouraging others to volunteer in their communities. President Bush believed in the importance of being kind to others. In his inauguration speech he said that:  "We as a people have such a purpose today. It is to make kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world." Today, let’s remember President Bush and try to make our nation and world a kinder and gentler place.
