8/21 Announcements: 

  1. Welcome back!! We are so excited to see everyone!

  2. As announced last year - National Junior Honor Society applications are now available  for the 2019-2020 school year. To be eligible for NJHS, you must be in the 7th or 8th grade during the 2019-2020 school year, have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, and be involved within the Ross Community.  Applications can be found on the website, school newsletter, or printed copies outside the RMS office in the kiosk. Applications are due no later than 3:00pm on Friday, September 6, 2019.  All applications must be 100% complete and all requirements must be met. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Ms. Dizon. (Applications for new members only)

  3. Applications for our school newspaper “Ram Pages” are due September 5th! See Mrs. Wormus with questions.

  4. 6/7/8th graders should have their Chromebooks today! 5th graders will receive these on Thursday.

  5. A reminder for all 8th graders!  If you haven't registered for the annual 8th grade trip to Washington D.C., time is running out!  The deadline to register is Sunday, September 15th. You MUST be registered by that day in order to participate in roommate selection day on Thursday, September 19th!  Registration information can be found on the RMS Washington DC webpage. See Mrs. Bruck in Room 103 if you have questions or email her or Mrs. Kiefer!

 

 

5/23/19 Announcements:

  1. Report Cards and supply list (supply lists also listed on RMS website this summer) for RMS next year will be sent home on Thursday (TODAY). (*Students required to attend summer school - families will be notified by RMS separately).

  2. Yearbooks were distributed during homeroom on Tuesday, May 21. See Mr. Mills with any questions or concerns. Mr. Mills will also have a few extra yearbooks for sale (first come, first serve) in the lobby before homeroom for $40 cash or check (made out to Ross Middle School). Last chance this year!

  6. Field Day is today - staff please see the adjusted schedule sent out earlier (we will be working around the weather).

  7. Reminder students - take all personal items home with you this week before you leave for the day today. In addition, last call for lost and found.  As the building is cleaned starting Friday, all items left behind will be donated or disposed.

  8. Students - thank you for a great year. Please have a safe and enjoyable last day and a wonderful summer. 8th graders in the graduating Class of 2023 - we know you will have tremendous success at RHS and in all you do! Everyone else we can’t wait to see you next year!

Chromebook turn-in this week: 7th graders were on Monday, May 20th (any 7th grader who was absent or has additional items to turn in please see Mrs. Maynard), 5th&6th graders on Tuesday, May 21 (All 5th and 6th grade students who currently have loaner Acer Chromebooks, should report to the Library at this time to turn in their loaner Chromebook and the loaner charger), and 8th graders on Wednesday, May 22. Students - You must turn in ALL Chromebook components (Chromebook, Case, & Power Adapter). If you have a loaner device (Acer), you must turn in both Power Adapters Acer and CTL - meaning you would return 2 chargers.

  6. Field Day Shirts - if there is a problem with your shirt please see Mrs. Allen immediately. Also, there are a few extra shirts for sale. The cost is $10, cash only, limited sizes, first come first serve.

  7. Reminder - Academic Awards wrap up today - Wednesday, May 22nd: - 5/6th grade: 5th grade: 9:00-10:30 (Spirit in gym, All Stars in cafeteria), Select Team: 11:30 in gym, Elite Team: 1:00 in gym.

  8. Field Day is scheduled for Thursday (reminder students - for outdoor activities please remember to wear sunscreen). The concession stand will be open all morning and afternoon during field day where you can purchase drinks, candy, and chips. Bring money if interested in purchasing anything at the concession stand. Also, students should not be writing on each other. It is going to be a great last week of school!
