Responsible Restart Plan

In accordance with the guidance from the Center for Disease Control, the Ohio Department of Health, the Butler County Health Department and in consultation with school districts across Butler County and the Greater Cincinnati area, the following guidelines outline the Responsible Restart Plan of the Ross Local School District for the 2020-2021 school year.

Within this plan are informational, one-page resources broken down into specific categories across the school experience. These categories include:

General Health & Safety Guidelines

COVID-19 Protocol

Remote Online Learning Option

Visitor and School Event Guidelines

Transportation Guidelines

School Building Operating Procedures

Food Service Guidelines

Realizing that recommendations and mandates during this pandemic are evolving and changing by the day, please be aware that these guidelines and recommendations are current as of the release of this plan in late July 2020. At the release of this plan, the start of school on September 8th is still over a month away. The guidelines in this plan may be updated prior to the start of school to reflect current recommendations and mandates.

This plan is intended to be general guidance. Throughout the month of August, the Ross Local School District will continue to share additional information from both the District and building level to ensure our families have a firm understanding of all precautions to keep our students and staff safe and how those precautions will affect the school experience for our families and students.

Special Education Services

For students with disabilities, the Individualized Education Program Team (IEP) will determine the protocols based on the individual needs of students in the Ross Local School District Responsible Restart planning document. All IEP, 504, and ETR meetings will be conducted virtually as agreed upon by the IEP team members.
